Fifth graders spent time this week looking more closely at the Statue of Liberty and The New Colossus, the poem inscribed upon the statue’s pedestal. Students uncovered symbolism in text and images related to American Monuments and the idea of the American Dream.

Voting Sticker Redesign

Fifth Grade Ofrenda
Friday’s classes designed and described an ofrenda as a writing warmup. The ofrenda is an altar celebrating the life of a loved one or an admired one that is put up for Dia de Muertos. Check out some of our presentations.
