Update!

Hi Families,

Just an update of what's going on in 307:

*If you haven't sent back your report cards, please sign and send them in.

*We have two trips this week: Tomorrow (March 27th) we are leaving for the Green-Wood cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Please meet us by the security desk or in front of the school at 9:45 if you indicated you were coming. It's an amazing trip!

*Our other trip is to the library this Thursday, March 29th, at 10:00 a.m. Please join us if you'd like!

*Spring Break begins on Friday, April 6th - there is no school on the 6th, and goes until Sunday evening, April 15th. School begins again on Monday, April 16th. The ELA tests are on Tuesday April 17th - Thursday, April 19th. Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest and eats a healthy breakfast on those mornings. The following week the students will complete the state Math test on Wednesday, April 25th - Friday, April 27th.

*The Ballroom Dance program has begun. Students practice on Mondays and Wednesdays. Perhaps they've already shared some moves with you at home. So far, the students have learned parts of the merengue and the fox trot.

*The students voted to have no homework over the Spring Break for their marble jar reward., but should still try to keep up with their independent reading.

*The music recital is next Tuesday, April 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. Students should be brought to the lunchroom at 6:00 p.m. and have been asked to wear white tops and dark pants or skirts.

*The Parent Surveys (in the green envelopes) went home or were given out at Parent Teacher conferences. PLEASE fill them out. It gives our school and the DOE feedback.

Please email me if you have any questions!

Thanks,
Melinda Fought
