THE QUILT BY BRIAN
Kate taught us about how her
grandma made quilts with dresses that became worn out and old. Kate’s grandma
was also George Washington’s wife in a play about George Washington. The same
dress she used for the play she used for her wedding. When you could order
blankets from catalog’s came she threw out all the blankets that she made.
One day when Kate’s grandma passed away Kate and her sister
went through their grandma’s house looking for photos and more they found a
quilt that her grandma made. The quilt looked like stitched in hexagon shapes
that looked like flowers. The colors were bright, like blue, red, yellow,
orange, pink and green. Kate looked up the blanket on Google images and found
the same blanket it was popular in the 1920s. This quilt was amazing.
