Free Writing Open Mic
Fifth graders shared some of the free writing they have authored over the year. A courageous few even read excerpts for classmates.

The 5th graders gave a mid-year performance for teachers and families today. They had great rhythm and sounded like pros. Well done!

Fifth Graders participated in civics stations to learn more about historical fights for voting rights.

Art as Activism
307 created symbols with Grace, our New York Historical Society educator, and ink printed them on paper. Students will start designing their own activism posters next week.

Amendment Projects
We are so proud of the students who volunteered to recite their Amendments on the first day! Everyone did an excellent job of memorizing the Constitution.
